Carrie Sizer
After qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 1996 I worked in an emergency department for two years. Throughout this time I knew that I wanted to explore other options and this is when a friend suggested that I would be a great midwife. So not really knowing much about midwifery I set off on what turned out to be the best career and life choice ever, graduating with a BA (Hons) Midwifery from University of York, UK in 1998. Little did I know how much I would love midwifery!
For me midwifery is not just about working with women and their families but also witnessing first-hand the amazing transition that takes place at this most special time. I have worked within community and hospital settings, attending births in water and on dry land at home or in hospital.
I look forward to meeting with you and your family soon.
